Getting started

After installing

  • Open the app — the first launch sets up your private WireGuard key in the iOS/macOS Keychain. No account is created on our servers.
  • Subscribe to Premium — managed by Apple's StoreKit. The 7-day free trial begins when you subscribe.
  • Tap Connect — iOS or macOS asks once to add a VPN configuration — approve it. The toggle stays on until you turn it off.

This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to our servers.

On Apple TV

  • Sign in with the same Apple ID — your subscription transfers automatically via Family Sharing or Apple ID.
  • Approve the VPN profile — tvOS prompts once. After approval the VPN runs in the background; ads and trackers are filtered on every connected app.

Common issues

The connection toggle keeps flipping back to off

  • Re-approve the VPN configuration in Settings → General → VPN & Device Management → Agiliton VPN. iOS sometimes invalidates the profile after a major OS update.
  • Toggle airplane mode on and off. WireGuard recovers within a few seconds on most networks.
  • If the problem persists for more than a minute, switch to a different server location in the app.

Streaming or website doesn't load

  • Try another server location — some streaming services restrict traffic from data-centre IP ranges.
  • The ad-and-tracker block list (119,000+ domains) is aggressive. If a specific site breaks, email us the domain and we will review the entry.
  • DNS-level blocking takes effect on the next request — fully reloading the page or app is usually enough.

Battery use

  • WireGuard is one of the most efficient VPN protocols in regular use today. On iPhone, a continuously connected VPN typically adds 1–3% to daily battery drain.
  • If you see more than that, check Settings → Battery for which app is reporting the usage — a different app may be sending background traffic that the VPN is then routing.

Speed feels slow

  • Choose the geographically closest server. From Western Europe, Germany or Finland is usually fastest.
  • Bandwidth on the underlying connection is the ceiling. A VPN cannot make a Wi-Fi link faster than its raw throughput.

Subscription, refunds, and family sharing

Manage your subscription

  • iOS / iPadOS: Settings → your name at the top → Subscriptions → Agiliton VPN.
  • macOS: System Settings → your Apple ID → Media & Purchases → Subscriptions.
  • Apple TV: Settings → Users and Accounts → your Apple ID → Subscriptions.

Refunds

  • Refunds are handled by Apple, not by Agiliton — we never see the payment. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with your Apple ID, find the Agiliton VPN charge and request a refund. Apple reviews most cases within 48 hours.

Family Sharing

  • Agiliton VPN supports Family Sharing. After the organiser subscribes, family members in the same Family Sharing group can install and use the app from their own Apple ID without a separate subscription.
  • Each family member's device runs its own WireGuard tunnel and gets its own private key — sessions are not shared.

Privacy and security

  • No logs — we do not record browsing activity, DNS queries, or which sites you visit. See the full Privacy Policy linked below.
  • No accounts — the app does not ask for an email or password. Authentication is bound to your device's WireGuard key, generated and stored locally in the Keychain.
  • GDPR-compliant — data subject requests can be sent to service@agiliton.eu. Because we do not collect personal data, most requests are answered with confirmation that there is nothing to disclose, port or erase.
